Small pleasures: Introduction
About the things that make life worth living...
A couple of years ago, I spent a few days in Vancouver, Canada, where I discovered the most beautiful shop.
It was full of artisan candles, unique postcards, lush plants hanging from the ceiling, and selected coffee table books. It felt like my paradise on earth.
Among all these beautiful items, I discovered a book titled Small Pleasures. I was immediately intrigued, as I have always found immense joy in the little things in life.
Published by 'The School of Life', this book seemed to be made for me. With photographs and short texts about everyday moments and things we often overlook, the concept of the book perfectly encapsulated how I feel about the little things that make you pause and appreciate the joy they offer.
I decided to buy the book that day, with the intention of one day creating my own version of it: a personal collection of small pleasures and ordinary moments that make me smile and warm my heart, and that make life worth living.
I will collect my tiny treasures here for you and hope that they will not only bring you as much joy as they offer to me, but inspire you to search for your own small pleasures.
