Shared Threads 2010

Thursday evening, July 29 - Sunday morning, August 1, 2010

Escape the heat and join us for the 2nd annual knitting camp as we gather our knitting supplies and head into the cool mountains of Prescott, AZ for a long weekend of mystery knitting, fun, and fellowship. Enjoy Prescott, “Everybody’s Hometown”, with tree-lined plaza, small-town charm, and hospitality. The hotel’s facilities we will be using are wonderful. We will have our own private meeting room where we can share ideas, laughs, and make new friends. Lunch and dinner will be on your own, but a number of restaurants are in close proximity and we’re sure you will enjoy the opportunity to chat with fellow knitters.

Those knitters choosing to stay at the hotel will enjoy a superb discount on their room, a discount on the camp tuition, plus a complementary hot and cold breakfast, pool, whirlpool, and fitness center. And, of course, you’re welcome to share a room with a fellow knitter, bring a travel companion or just enjoy the quiet.

Camp tuition is $150.00 per student with a $25.00 discount for those staying at the Hampton Inn hotel. Hampton Inn's rate is $89.00/night plus taxes for a room with 2 Queen Beds.

We will jump right in on our mystery project Thursday evening while getting acquainted with one another. Each camper’s project will be similar yet different, according to how you answer the clues.

On Friday evening we will have a show and tell - bring your favorite knitted item to show others. This is a fun and inspiring activity - and a great chance to show off your best work to a very appreciative audience.

Saturday afternoon will we set aside for visiting area yarns stores, antique shops, other specialty stores downtown, art galleries, or museums.

Bring a special item to enter in the Shared Threads Show on Saturday evening (be sure to wrap it securely, I’ll be accepting the items at check-in). There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place.

The materials list for the mystery project will be sent prior to camp.
